Hacked tomato plant, No EP required. Place the plant in your garden, water and when it blooms, you can harvest or propagate the plant (to make a new plant). Those with The Sims and no EP or EPs only before Hot Date will be able to sell their crop harvest: Sims with a high interest in the Outdoors will make more money from the harvest. Those with HD+ can choose to sell the harvest or keep it in inventory. Tomatoes put in the inventory can be given as gifts ('Fresh Produce' will appear in the interaction menu) or used to make tomato sauce in our special hacked canning station (see below). Note: this plant does not replace the UL tomato plant, and the crops can't be stored in the pantry or used to cook meals, or sold to the OT gardener.

Tomato sauce canning station requires that your Sim have tomatoes harvested from the hacked tomato plant to use. Your Sim will make more money from her harvest if she makes and sells sauce than just selling the raw crops. Your Sim earns more money from selling the sauce if she has a high interest in Food. (Also, like the Maxis canning station, she earns more if she has high cooking skills, and earns cooking skill while using it). The tomato sauce can also be stored in inventory to be given as a gift.
